So if the photo is 1859 - who do I think the people are?

How did I get it - it came with the albums my mother left me. However Mum did not put this in her family history album with dates etc. This was a new album she put together to leave me. So I assume Mum did not know what it was. I do not remember this picture from my childhood looking at family pictures. Just this vague idea that it was from my father and Mum said she thought it was his father.

Well Thomas Sylvester LANKSHEAR was born 1847 (died 1933) and his mother Elizabeth (nee SHAW) was born 1814 and died 1871 (St Olave's).

This seems to fit well for 1859 - boy around 12 - woman maybe 45.

Only problem my folks as far as I know lived in East London so why an Ealing photographer. But then if a copy their local studio may have sent the old one to experts in Ealing for processing. Also East London studio may have used card stock from Ealing.
